How tall is that tree, really?

Your phone already knows. Mark where you're standing and tap the top of the tree, back up, do it once more — that's it. We do the trigonometry and tell you what wrapping it in lights costs. Nothing to measure, nothing to type, and you never have to reach the trunk.

Step 1 — anywhere you can see the top
No need to reach the trunk. We mark where you're standing, then you tap the very top of the tree once.

The aiming camera is a live viewfinder only — nothing is recorded or uploaded. Tilt angles and the distance you walked are computed on your phone; coordinates reach our server only if you tap the roofline bonus, and are never stored. We assume the phone is about eye height, which is worth inches, and that the ground between your two spots is reasonably level. A phone measures a tree to within roughly a fifth of its height, so we show a range — anything near our 20 ft wrap limit we confirm by hand. Estimates use our published rates: mini-lights at 100 per vertical foot, wraps from $225 per tree up to 20 feet.
