Booking November installs now — 2026 season
Now hiring — 2026 season

Work the season with us.

We hang lights across eight Peninsula towns from October to mid December, then take them all down in January. It is outdoor work, on ladders, in the weather — and it is over by the time the year turns. Everything stages from Port Hadlock, so nobody sits in a ferry line.

Season

Install runs October to December 12. Takedown runs the month of January.

Where

Port Ludlow, Hadlock, Irondale, Port Townsend, Sequim, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bainbridge — all within an hour of the shop.

Pay

Depends on the role and what you bring. We talk about it on the first call, before we waste your time or ours.

Experience

Not required for install. Ladder confidence is. We teach the clipping, the layout and the takedown method.

Three ways in

Apply for more than one if more than one fits.
October – mid December

Installer

The core of the season. Two-person truck, ladders, clipping C9s to gutters and peaks, wrapping trees. You will be outside in Peninsula weather on a ladder most of the day. We train the method; you bring the willingness to work at height.

  • Comfortable on a ladder at 20–30 ft, all day
  • Steady hands in cold and wet
  • Reliable transport to a Port Hadlock start each morning
October – mid December

Driver / ground support

Runs the ground while the installers run the roof: staging strands, feeding line, moving and footing ladders, testing runs, loading out. No roof time at all. A good fit if you want the season’s work without the height.

  • Valid driver’s licence, clean enough to drive the truck
  • Able to handle ladders and strand boxes on the ground
  • Organised — the ground kit is what keeps a crew moving
January 2 – 31

Takedown crew

A short, well-defined January engagement. Everything comes down, gets tested, coiled, labelled and boxed by house. Quieter and less pressured than install season, and a good way to try the work before committing to a whole autumn.

  • Comfortable on a ladder
  • Careful — takedown damage is what costs us the re-order
  • Available weekdays across January

The honest version

You will be cold and wet some days. You will be on a ladder more than you are on the ground. Days get long in the last two weeks of November, and the season ends whether the work is done or not — so we start early and we do not stop. If that reads as a warning rather than a pitch, this is probably not your job, and that is fine.

What we offer back: a small crew that does not subcontract, real training on ladder safety and layout, L&I coverage, and a finish line in January.
